UK trained Sports Massage Therapist with over 20 years of massage experience
Limassol Sports Massage is owned and run by Eva Evangelou, BA Hons (2:1), PGCE, Advanced Post Grad Diploma, IFA Diploma & ITEC Diplomas. Eva started off her career as a secondary school Teacher of Art and as a Teacher for the Deaf. After having taught in London schools for 10 years, she retrained as an ITEC Holistic Massage Therapist, an IFA Aromatherapist and finally as an ITEC Sports Massage Therapist.
Sports have always been an important part of Eva's life. As a teenager she was an avid trampolinist and she practised Judo. By her mid twenties she was training for her second Dan in Ki Aikido. She also did semi-contact some competiton fighting in Taewkondo. Eva has run 3 full marathons . She enjoys trail running, inline skating, yoga, sea swimming, kayaking and generally keeping fit. She is vegan and believes in the health benefits of plant based nutrition.
At the start of 2016, Eva published her first book, 'SAY 'NO!' TO NECK & SHOULDER PAIN' in a bid to help her Clients deal with neck/shoulder pain and headaches.
She is currently based in Limassol, Cyprus and offers a variety of body treatments all remedial in nature with the assistance of essential oil allies. She liaises closely with Doctors, Specialists , Osteopaths and Physiotherapists in order to provide quality of care for her Clients.
Eva has been assistant Race Director at the Cyprus Ultra Marathon since it's inception in 2012. She is the Sports Massage Therapist for the Limassol Running Club and the Limassol Skate School. She has also assisted at the Limassol Marathon and writes as 'an expert' for running injuries on the Limassol Marathon Newsletter and website. In London she offered post event massage at the Virgin London Marathon and she formed the Sports Massage provision for the Redbridge Swimming Team.
Eva believes in quality of care and duty to her Clients. She holds a valid Sports First Aid and CPR certificate. All treatments commence with a Consultation. She renews her training skill set annually and she is a regulated full member of the International Federation of Aromatherapists.
